Revenues to compulsory health insurance funds on the rise

The revenues plan of the mandatory health insurance funds over January-October 2007 was 104% fulfilled. There were collected revenues of about 1.65 bln lei or by 63.2 mln lei more than projected. A sum of 1 bln lei was transferred from the state budget for paying the planned insurance premiums. The insurance premiums paid in percentage added up to 590.1 mln lei or by 30 mln lei or 5.4% more than projected. The insurance premiums paid by individuals and the other payments totalled 67.6 mln lei. This is by 33.1 mln lei or 96.3% more than planned. These payments make up 4.1% of the total revenues of the compulsory health insurance funds. The expenses covered from the fund for paying current medical services (basic fund) added up to 1.43 bln lei or 95.2% of the projections.
