Revenues from sale of electronic communications decreased

The revenues from the sale of electronic communication services in the second quarter of this year fell by 0.02% to 1.5 billion lei. The fall stemmed from the reduction in the sales of fixed-line telephone services, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology, the sales of fixed-line telephone services decreased by 20.9% compared with the corresponding period last year, to 308.7 million lei. But the revenues from mobile phone services rose by 2.5% to 890.9 million lei.

The revenues on the mobile Internet access services market rose by 26.7% to 65.8 million lei, while on the fixed Internet services market by 20.8% to about 233.5 million lei. The sales of audiovisual programs broadcasting and retransmission services grew by over 7% to about 83.8 million lei.

A report by the Agency shows that the largest average monthly revenue per user in the second quarter of this year were recorded on the fixed Internet and mobile Internet access services markets: 146.3 lei and, respectively, 107 lei. On the fixed telephone services market, this figure was 84.8 lei, on the mobile phone market – 69.8 lei, while on the pay television services market – 50 lei.
