Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici requested the ministries to step up carrying out the measures stipulated in the 2014-2016 National Plan of Action for implementing the Association Agreement with the EU. He made such a request in a field meeting of the Government after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman presented the results of the Riga Summit of May 21-22, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

The Premier asked convening a meeting to thoroughly discuss the provisions that Moldova must put into practice. “We must intensify the implementation of the National Plan of Action. That’s why we will hold a separate meeting to analyze the current situation and I request all the ministries and institutions to review the sector plans and to present the actions that are to be taken,” said the Premier.

Chiril Gaburici also said that the legislative initiatives or decisions included in the additional agenda of the executive will not be accepted if they are not endorsed by all the responsible institutions first. “We must not approve the bills in a hurry as these must be of a high quality. We want quality in the Government,” he stated.

In the field meeting held at the Ministry of Finance, the ministers presented the steps that each institution will take this week.
