The observation mission of “Promo-LEX” Association presented the results of the parallel count of votes cast in the presidential runoff. According to the data of “Promo-LEX”, Socialist candidate Igor Dodon won 55.5% of the vote, as opposed to the 52.29% reported by the CEC. PAS candidate Maia Sandu gained, according to the observers, 44.5%, as against 47.71% shown by the preliminary data of the CEC, IPN reports.
The observation mission’s head Pavel Postica told a news conference that the Association’s observers didn’t have access to 64 voting reports abroad. The parallel vote count shows that Igor Dodon polled 826,000 votes, as opposed to the 835,000 votes presented by the CEC. Maia Sandu gained, according to the observers, 712,000 votes, while according to the CEC – 761,000 votes.
As many as 1 610 527 voters cast their ballots in the presidential runoff, which is over 53% of the electors on the voter rolls. Igor Dodon gathered 835,010 votes, which is 52.29% of the poll, while Maia Sandu - 761,934 votes or 47.71%.
