Results after counting over 90% of the vote

Slightly over 91% of the votes cast in the October 30 presidential elections have been counted by midnight. The preliminary results show Igor Dodon won 49.7% of the vote, while Maia Sandu -36.8%, IPN reports.

More than 600,000 people voted for Igor Dodon and over 450,000 people voted for Maia Sandu.

The other candidates polled between 5.8% and 0.1% of the ballot.

The voter turnout was 48%.
