The private transport will not have access to the largest cemeteries of Chisinau on Low Sunday, April 22 and 23. Only the public units of transport will run up to the gates of the cemeteries, based on a permit issued by the traffic police.
Municipal police chief Silviu Musuc has told Info-Prim Neo that the police will patrol all the cemeteries, but most of officers, including on horses, will be rallied at Saint Lazarus Cemetery, which is the largest one.
The private transport will be stopped at a distance of several quarters away. The drivers will be able to park the vehicles at the 10 parking lots with over 2,000 places, set up nearby.
The police will issue permits allowing access by personal cars up to the gates of Saint Lazarus Cemetery to persons with disabilities or in special cases. Three ambulances and a firefighting vehicle will be on duty at the cemetery. There will be brought several water tanks.
Silviu Musuc said that the sale of alcoholic beverages near cemeteries is banned. The persons under the influence of alcohol will be taken to Saint Trinity Hospital in Chisinau.
There are 47 cemeteries in the municipality of Chisinau.
