A large-scale fire happened at the restaurant “Butoias” located on Calea Iesilor St, where a wedding party was to start soon. Eighteen firefighting vehicles travelled to the scene. The flames engulfed over 600 square meters of the roof. The restaurant’s halls were also affected. The fire was extinguished in over two hours and a half.
The call to 901 was made by the restaurant’s accountant at 11:25am on June 6. Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that both the personnel and the restaurant’s customers were evacuated. Nobody was hurt. The cause of fire is yet to be found out.
The firefighters are performing washing and dismantling works. A preliminary version of the cause of fire will be formulated when the fire is fully extinguished.
