Synthetic strips provided with perpendicular grooves, producing a resonant warning when vehicles are passing by, will be set up on the roads with an increased risk of road accidents, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure says the resonating strips are usually placed on the extremities of roadway or on the median, on express and national roads and on roads outside settlements with heavy traffic.
The resonating strips for road edging lines in other countries turned out to be efficient in increasing road safety.
According to the Nation al Patrolling Inspectorate, 58 persons died last year as a result of 261 collisions between vehicles, while 443 persons were hurt.
