Rescuers are taking measures to take out a man who got stuck in a well at a depth of over 15 meters. Yesterday morning, the person went down the well to dig it further. A pile of earth collapsed over him, IPN reports.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said the call to the 112 Service was made at 11:43am on June 2. The reported case happened in Taraclia town. A number of rescue teams were detached to the scene to save the man.

The rescue operation goes on. Over 20 rescuers are engaged in it. They are digging at a depth of over 15 meters to get the man out.

“The rescuers’ mission is a difficult one as the diameter of the tube used to penetrate down is small and specialists are making effort to advance safely and to find the victim. The man does not respond and he is probably dead. The rescue works continue,” stated the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
