The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service ordered setting up three crisis cells in Balti, Edinet and Ungheni districts in connection with the yellow code advisory for heavy rain and orange code warning for atmospheric instability. The crisis cells will be responsible for collecting information and monitoring the situation on the spot, IPN reports.
The mobilization of rescuers was discussed in an extraordinary meeting called by the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service on June 28. This involved representatives of the State Hydrometeorological Service, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport and the National Patrolling Inspectorate. The Service’s administration asked to employ all the necessary forces in case of serious calamities and to strictly monitor the areas in charge so as to avoid casualties.
The three crisis cells will consist of representatives of a number of bodies and of the local authorities. These will manage the situation on the spot and will monitor the areas affected by calamities.
Large precipitation is expected in ten districts of the country, namely Briceni, Edinet, Ocnita, Donduseni, Rascani, Glodeni, Falesti, Ungheni, Nisporeni, and Hancesti.
