Republic of Moldova becomes exporter of narcotic substances. This phenomenon has been spotted not only by the police, but also by the custom guards that regularly find narcotic substances in transport units with international destination. The head of the Customs Press Center, Ion Magu, communicated Info-Prim Neo that recently in the Otaci border point, as a result of a luggage control of the Chisinau-Moscova bus, 22 packages of marijuana have been found, weighing 3540 grams. Processed and pressed, it was found in a bag. The driver and the passengers declared that the bag didn’t belong to anyone. Such cases with bags with narcotics without owners are pretty numerous, according to Ion Magu. The drugs have been found in the bus on routes from Chisinau to Moscow, Lvov, and Chisinau-Bucharest, Chisinau-Moscow, Sochireni-Cernauti passenger trains. In most of the cases the drugs were found by police dogs. In the 10 months of this year border guard officers have started 11 penal cases on the fact of narcotic contraband. 4 kg 310 grams of cannabis, 238 grams of poppy straws, and 1.37 grams of hashish have been found and confiscated.
