Italy is a valuable partner in the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, with an important contribution to the implementation of the reform and modernization agenda of our country, says the message of Moldova’s Ambassador in Rome Anatolie Urecheanu, which was disseminated on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldovan-Italian diplomatic relations, IPN reports.
The diplomat said that the bilateral political dialogue has strengthened in the period by the multiple official contacts. The commercial and economic exchanges have grown progressively, cooperation in the field of culture, education, health and other sectors has expanded, while the bilateral legal framework has been developed and now includes over 40 bilateral agreements in areas of mutual interest. The two countries also actively cooperate within international organizations.
Also, the largest community of Moldovans, which organically integrated into Italian society, was established in the Apennine Peninsula. The contribution made by the natives of the Republic of Moldova, fuelled by the presence of an important Italian business community in the Republic of Moldova, gives a special socioeconomic dimension to the relationship between our countries, which is highly appreciated by the Governments of the two states.
“On the occasion of this anniversary, I have the special pleasure of transmitting congratulations and wishes of good health to all those who have contributed to developing the relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Italy,” runs the message.
The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Italy were established on February 21, 1992.
