Representatives of the nine free economic zones (FEZ) of Moldova discussed the problems they face in a meeting with Prime Minister Vlad Filat. They pointed to a series of aspects that hinder the smooth running of entrepreneurial activities in the free economic zones, including the different interpretations of the legal provisions concerning the deductibility of costs and the concessions granted by the employer, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the executive, the representatives of the FEZ said measures should be taken to simplify the procedures concerning the customs registration of goods in the zones and to recognize the customs concessions when the contracts in these zones expire. The Premier asked the institutions in charge to examine all the suggestions and to analyze in detail the work conditions in the FEZ. He ordered immediately drafting a bill with amendments to the legislation so as to simplify the procedures for the customs registration of the supplies of national goods to and from the FEZ. Vlad Filat said the economic entities should work in a comfortable environment so that they create new workplaces and pay decent salaries to employees.
