The representatives of the parties running in the parliamentary elections have said that they identified violations at a number of polling places, including intimidation of the observers and incorrect behavior of the heads of electoral offices. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Roman Andries, the Liberal Party’s representative to the Central Election Commission (CEC), said that the report to hand over the ballots was already signed at a polling station in the municipality of Chisinau, while at another station the ballots are outside the office. Nicolae Raileanu, the representative of the Moldova Noastra Alliance to the CEC, said that the head of the electoral office in Zaim village of Causeni district refused to show the observers the content of the ballot box when the polling place was opened. At the observers’ insistence, the box was opened and there were found 10 ballots marked in favor of the Communists Party, Raileanu said. In Sangera village, a person transports voters to the polling station by bus. At a polling place in Chisinau’s Ciocana district, a person came with two loose papers that accompany the identity card, said Andrei Volentir, the representative of the Democratic Party to the CEC. According to him, some heads of electoral offices refuse to accept the applications over the identified irregularities filed by observers. After the Communists Party notified the Orhei District Council, the mayor of Donici village was warned as he traveled together with the mobile ballot box through the village, according to the observers. The other representatives of the election runners contacted by Info-Prim Neo said they noticed many, but insignificant irregularities. The CEC urges all the observers to inform about any kind of violation.
