Representative of civil society on National Integrity Commission not yet chosen

The Parliament’s legal commission for appointments and immunities approved of the candidates fielded by the four parliamentary groups to work on the National Integrity Commission. Only the representative of civil society is yet to be selected, Tudor Delium, who forms part of the parliamentary commission, has told Info-Prim Neo.
The commission is to choose between two candidates - Cristina Cojocaru, an expert of the Corruption Analysis and Prevention Center, and Efim Obreja, an expert of Transparency International Moldova.
The National Integrity Commission will examine the income, property and interest statements submitted by public servants. It will consist of five members with the same rights who will be confirmed to post by Parliament by a majority of votes for a five-year period. The parliamentary majority delegates three members, while the opposition and civil society by one.
