The applicants who failed to secure a place in college during the first admission session may now try again at the repeated admission session. Applications will be accepted through August 10. Yet there are no seats left at the Medicine University, the Police Academy, the Military Institute, and the Economics Academy, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Moldova State University offers 600 vacant places, 214 of which are government-subsidized. However, no seats are available at the departments of economics and law. 417 seats, including 75 subsidized, are available at the Balti-based State University Alecu Russo. The offer is closed at the departments of informatics, journalism, linguistics, sociology, and social assistance. At the first round of admissions there were submitted 27,000 applications for undergraduate studies and 5,200 applications for master's degree studies. The bulk of them – 25,000 – were submitted to state universities.
