Repairs resume on Dacia Boulevard

Rehabilitation works are starting on Dacia Boulevard in Chisinau, in particular on the segment from the Chisinau Airport to the police post near the suburban town of Singera. Efim Cheptanari, director of the municipal roadworks company Exdrupo, has told Info-Prim Neo that a protective bitumunous coating is to be laid starting October 2 to complete earlier rehabilitation works. The bituminous treatment is estimated at 2.2 million lei. For the duration of the works, specific traffic signs will be installed and additional markings will be placed along the segment under repair. If the weather allows it, the road will be done in a week. Initially the municipal authorities set the deadline for the Boulevard's repair until August 15. Recently the City Hall announced a new deadline, until the City Day on October 14. The repair is part of a joint Government-Municipality road rehabilitation project. The Road Ministry allocated 17 million lei for the purpose, and the Municipality is to allocate further 20 million lei: 10 million for the road repair and 10 million for street lighting.
