Repair works on Alba Iulia St will be finished by October 14

Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca paid a fact-finding visit to Alba Iulia St, which is being repaired. “The works began a month ago and I wanted to see if they are completed by October 14. I can say we will manage to finish them by then,” he said, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the City Hall's press service says Alba Iulia St is 3 kilometers long. It was built in 1978. The last section of the street is now being asphalted. The works cost up to 30 million lei. Next spring, the local authorities will set up parking lots by the roadside. The Chisinau City Hal approved a program to fully repair 34 streets. The works are to start in 2011. Dorin Chirtoaca voiced hope the initiative will be supported by the City Council.
