Repair works on Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun streets in the central part of Chisinau will start in two days, and on August 31 street on April 10 the latest. Municipal transport and roads chief Vitalie Mihalache announced this at the City Hall meeting on Monday.
Mihalache said that the order to start the repair works on Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun streets was issued last week, and the corresponding order for August 31 Street will be finalized in a couple of days. "These projects, with a total value of over 250 million lei, will be launched and we hope they will be completed expeditiously”, said the official.
On Alexandru cel Bun Street, the first stage of the repair will be carried out on the section between Ismail and Tighina streets. On Tighina Street, work will start in the perimeter of Alexandru cel Bun Street and Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard. "We will try to strive to select road segments to be done with swiftness and with very little inconvenience for those who live in that area or transit it," said Mihlache.
Mayor Ion Ceban asked for signage to be posted so that people know to avoid the sections under construction and are informed of the progress of the works and the expected completion times.
