The reorganization of several medical-sanitary institutions has been halted. The MPs passed two relevant draft decisions that were earlier merged by the PDM and PCRM.
Democratic lawmaker Valentina Stratan said the procedure for reorganizing the national healthcare system, initiated by multiple internal orders made by the Health Ministry, is illegal. Under the constitutional norms, the reformation of the health system must be regulated by legislative acts, not internal orders.
Oxana Domenti, of the Communist faction, said the steps taken by the Health Ministry are illegal because they are aimed at liquidating medical institutions and at substituting public health services with private ones.
Liberal-Democratic MP Petru Stirbate said that these decisions represent in fact an agreement reached by the PDM and PCRM. “Test now to see how you will vote on Tuesday,” he stated, referring to the March 5 sitting, when the censure motion against the Filat Government is to be debated.
Earlier, Health Minister Andrei Usatyi signed a number of orders to reorganize by absorption the Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorba”, the Cardiology Institute, and the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
