Works to renovate the water supply and sewerage systems will begin on a number of streets of Chisinau this week. According to a communiqué from the public water utility, street portions will be closed for traffic temporarily or permanently for the period of the works, IPN reports.
According to the technical production director of SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” Vitalie Midari, the works to repair and renovate the sewerage system will start on the pedestrian street Alexandru Diordita. “The renovation of the sewerage system will be possible in several days, immediately after the repair of the heat system is completed. The works to lay the new sewer pipes will last for 2-3 weeks. The costs will be covered by the water supplier,” said Vitalie Midari.
In parallel, works will be performed to renovate the water pipeline on Constantin Negruzzi Blvd. and Vasile Alecsandri St. “Apa-Canal Chisinau” needs to identify about 40 million lei to repair the water pipes on another three streets.
