The leader of the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi” accuses the company that compiles the Public Opinion Barometer (POB) of falsifying the results of the poll that is to be presented next Monday, IPN reports.
According to the politician, the poll that is to be made public shows that if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, 33.7% of those polled would vote for PAS, 25.2% for BeCS, 6% for the Shor Party, 4.6% for the Electoral Bloc “Renato Usatîi”, 2.7% for PPPDA, while 1.4% for the Party “Democracy at Home”.
Renato Usatîi said the figures for the bloc he represents were manipulated and 4.6% is actually 8.4%. Also, the score for PPPDA was decreased by 0.4% while that for the Party “Democracy at Home” by 0.8%. The percentage of PAS was raised by 4%. The manipulations were made by Arcadie Barbăroșie, executive director of the Institute for Public Policy that presents the POB.
The politician drew a parallel with the POB presented before the presidential elections, which showed that Renato Usatîi was to gain 10.9% of the vote, but he actually won 16.9%.
According to Usatîi, the Institute for Public Policy does not differ from the companies “that drew polls at the time of Plahotniuc”. He promised that after the parliamentary elections, they will amend the legislation so that the companies that will present polls that will not be within the margin of error of the CEC will be banned from conducting polls in the future.
Contacted by IPN for a reaction, the IPP executive director Arcadie Barbăroșie didn’t answer the phone.
