Seven rehabilitation points for persons who are exposed to the cold for a long period of time will be created in Chisinau and Balti. The tents will be equipped with generators, heating devices, beds, and blankets. There will be served tea, IPN reports.
Acceding to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the decision to put up tents was taken following the considerable decline in temperatures in order to prevent cases of hypothermia.
In Chisinau, the tents will be pitched on Calea Iesilor St, near the Teacher Training University “Ion Creangă”, at the Central Bus Terminal, near the Central Market and at the Railway Terminal.
Other rehabilitation points will be set up near the commercial center “PanCom” in Rascani district, near the market of Ciocana district and near the shop “1,000 petty wares” in Botanica district. A tent will be placed in Balti too.
A yellow code advisory for very cold weather was issued for the period between the evening of January 25 and January 27. The temperatures are expected to drop to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
