The acting Cabinet on December 23 approved the framework regulations concerning the organization and functioning of the service of assistance and protection of victims of human trafficking.

The regulations envision the approval of 31 minimum quality standards for the given service. The document is designed to ensure the implementation of a common program of assistance and protection of the victims and potential victims of trafficking in human beings. The persons who will ask for assistance wil benefit from psychological and legal counseling and from reintegration support for returning to the social life.

Throughout 2015, the six specialized centers of the country provided services to 90 victims of human trafficking and 228 potential victims.
