The Shor Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Reghina Apostolova on April 12 presented her electoral program. This is designed to improve urban infrastructure, to promote social projects and to ensure financial discipline, IPN reports.
According to Reghina Apostolova, the problems of Chisinau do not differ much from the problems of other towns. The experience she gained while holding public posts, including of deputy mayor of Orhei, enables her to affirm that she will be able to implement her program in the capital city until the general mayoral elections of 2019.
Reghina Apostolova promised to ensure cleanness and street lighting at night, to repair the roads and build playgrounds for children and green areas. As to the social projects, the candidate said the chain of social stores will be extended and the pensioners will receive other kinds of assistance as well. The municipality will contribute to increasing the childbirth allowance and will make sure that each school and kindergarten is supplied with food products of a high quality.
The candidate noted that owing to the financial discipline that will be promoted, the budget of Chisinau will rise twice. Foreign investment will be attracted to implement the program for Chisinau. Her team will insist on increasing the taxes on the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
Reghina Apostolova is convinced that she will enjoy the support of the municipal councilors even if she represents the party she represents.
Mayor of Orhei Ilan Shor, chairman of the Shor Party, called on the businessmen operating in Chisinau not to be greedy and to allocate at least half of their revenues for transforming Chisinau into a city where one would like to live, by the example of Orhei town.
Reghina Apostolova was registered as an election runner and is the fourth on the list of candidates in the ballot.
