The reforms and innovations at the public TV channel Moldova 1 started to yield results after a woman took over the institution, said Valentina Buliga, vice president of the Democratic Party (PDM) who is running for mayor general of Chisinau. She sent a congratulation message to the channel on the occasion of 53 years of the appearance of the first program of TV Moldova 1, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the party’s press service. ”On April 30, 1958, there was broadcast the first TV program in Moldova. The foundation was laid for a new epoch in communication and at an institution that you now represent. Over time, the institution went through different processes and transformations, but it covered all the changes that society experienced. Today we enjoy a great variety of sources of information. The people know the latest news and have access to artistic events. They can anytime inspire from the national and general human values. But the role of the national public television remains deciding because it meets the public interest and promotes the main values of the whole society,” it is said in the message. According to Valentina Buliga, for these reasons the changes initiated at the institution about two years ago are appreciated as they started to produce results. “It happened after a woman took over TV Moldova 1. This makes me confident that the professional women are yet to play an important role in all the areas of activities,” she said. ”In the name of my colleagues from the Democratic Party and in my name, I wish the professionals of TV Moldova 1 success, skillfulness and support from the general public and from the administration of the country, which must ensure the good functioning of the public television,” reads Valentinei Buliga’s message.
