The MPs of the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party made a call to all the right-wing parties and socioeconomic movements. In a news conference, the groups’ leader Ion Hadarca said the call to join the human potential is aimed at strengthening the pro-European political right. According to him, time has come to stop the useless dispersing of the pro-European forces, which should form one political entity, IPN reports.

Ion Hadarca said the Liberal MPs want the political class of Moldova to be reformed, the country to be modernized and the European integration course to be maintained as a national priority. “The national cause cannot remain in the hands of profiteers,” he stated. According to him, the Liberal lawmakers want to take part in governance and do not want the party to leave the nucleus of politics.

Ion Hadarca also said that they will demand respecting such Liberal values as individual freedom, private property, market economy, and free competition. “We will not allow politicians full of hatred to use these values for personal interests, in an irresponsible and populist manner. We will not allow missing the chance of signing the Association Agreement between Moldova and the EU. We will not move to the opposition and will not allow the left-wing, antinational and pro-Russia forces to humiliate us again,” he stated, adding that the situation in the Liberal Party is serious and a number of changes should be made to the party’s program and statutes.

The Council for Reforming the PL was created on April 12. The MPs of this Council were excluded from the party in a meeting of the National Council. The decision is challenged by those to whom it refers. The lawmakers argue that such a decision should be taken by the Party’s Congress, not the National Council.
