The reconstruction of the “Ivanos” Central Park in Orhei is nearly done. The works should be finished in exactly a week, according to the deadline set by Mayor Ilan Shor, who came to inspect the site, IPN learned from a press release of the mayor's office.

“Ivanos is the oldest park in Orhei, with a history of over 80 years. Once, it was also the most beautiful, a place beloved by all the people of Orhei. In recent years however, it ended up on the verge of ruin. We set out to restore it and make it attractive again for the inhabitants of our town. We set a clear deadline and things are going according to plan. On August 27, we'll open the renovated park. It will be a beautiful gift for Orhei, on the Independence Day”, said Ilan Shor.

According to the press release, the Ivanos Park is fully rebuilt. The works began 3 weeks ago and are nearly complete, while the area is changing visibly. Workers have already restored the sidewalk on Vasile Mahu street and installed new paving in 4 colors on the entrance alley. The stairs have been paved with tiles and the walls with natural stone. The waterfall was renovated as well and whole water supply and drainage system was changed. The central fountain is almost ready, being rebuilt in the same style as the stairs. The work is now focused on the central area of the park, which will be asphalted and refurbished. The stage and the dance pavilion will be repaired, as well as the roof.
