During hot weather it is recommended drinking at least two liters of water, wearing clothes from natural fabrics and of light colors and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and physical effort, the head of the Chisinau Health Division Mihai Moldovanu said in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions, IPN reports.
Mihai Moldovanu recommended that representatives of the National Food Safety Agency during the dog days should attentively check the conditions in which food products are sold. The public utility “Apa-Canal Chisinau” was entrusted with the task of supplying water to public parks, while the Green Areas service is to monitor the work of the teams of rescuers in recreational areas, especially on the beach in Vadul lui Voda town.
The official noted that blood pressure measuring units were set up in all the family doctors’ centers. These are supplied with drinking water and drugs. Together with representatives of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, it was decided to pitch five tents for rehabilitation during hot weather. They consider the necessity of putting up more such tents in other crowded places.
The yellow code advisory for high temperatures is in force until June 23. In the period, daytime temperatures will rise to 38 degrees Celsius. Rain is forecast for this weekend.
