Recean thanks citizens for cooperation during Merkel visit

Minister of Interior Dorin Recean thanks the citizens for their friendly and cooperative behavior during German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Chisinau, despite traffic restrictions, which are unavoidable for such events, reports Info-Prim Neo. The Minister mentions that the advice to reschedule private vehicle trips to Chisinau for other days. Having less private transport on the roads, negative influences to the traffic were diminished. Dorin Recean expressed his apologies for the inconveniences created and thanks the citizens for their patience and tolerance they’ve shown. Hundreds of policemen, including from districts far away from the capital, came to the help of Chisinau police officers, in order to secure public order during the official visit of the German Chancellor. Currently, all barriers and traffic restrictions, upon the conclusion of the German high-ranking dignitary’s visit, have been lifted.
