Prime Minister Dorin Recean in a comment for EuroPravda said that the Moldovan authorities have no objection to a possible offer by Ukraine to help the Transnistrian region overcome the energy crisis in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe, IPN reports.

Recean said that Chisinau did not ask Kiev for support to ensure the supply of energy resources to the Transnistrian region, but would be open to such an initiative if it came from Ukraine.

"We have not asked Kyiv for any help in this regard, but we would agree if there was such an offer... For example, it could be possible to deliver coal if the management of the Kuchurgan power plant (in Transnistria) requested this," said Dorin Recean.
