The extraparliamentary parties of Moldova disseminated different messages on the signing by Moldova of the Association Agreement with EU, IPN reports.

The People’s Force Party said the political association with the EU and the close cooperation in the economic and commercial spheres offer Moldova real opportunities for narrowing the development gap. In a press statement, the party says that only by implementing the Association Agreement, can the political forces contribute directly to Moldova’s transformation into a country that can cope with the challenges of the period of transition and into a really democratic, stable and prosperous society.

The Green Ecologist Party of Moldova welcomed the signing of the accord, saying this is a historical event for Moldova. The Greens called on the political parties, the representatives of civil society and all the citizens of Moldova to join forces on the path to the EU for the Moldovan people’s benefit.

The Social Democratic Party in a statement says the signing of the agreement represents the selling of the country. Instead of Moldova entering the EU, it will happen vice versa – the EU will enter all the spheres of influence of Moldova. Prime Minister Iurie Leanca signed the accord illegally as he does not have such powers enshrined in the Constitution.

In a press statement, the leader of Our Party Renato Usatyi says the signing of the Association Agreement became another propaganda act of the Moldovan Government, which, instead of doing reforms, treats the people with PR. The accord was discussed in secret as nobody saw the text before its initialing. Its signing was hastened before the elections because the ruling parties do not have accomplishments that they could present to the voters.
