The first three positions in the January rankings of the most influential Moldovan politicians are taken by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat and Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman. The rankings are compiled by the Institute for Political Analyses and Consultancy “Politicon”, IPN reports.
Head of Parliament Igor Corman ranks fourth, while President Nicolae Timofti comes fifth. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca climbed up to the sixth.
The leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin fell one spot to the seventh. The head of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet ranks eighth, followed by the deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc. Minister of Agriculture Vasile Bumacov comes tenth.
“Politicon” also made public the rankings of the most influential political parties. The Liberal Democratic Party was placed first, followed by the Communist Party. The Democratic Party is ranked third. The fourth and fifth places are taken by the Liberal Party and the Liberal Reforming Party. The People’s Movement “Antimafie” comes sixth, the Party of Socialists – seventh, the People’s Party – eighth, the National Liberal Party – ninth, while the Party “Renastere-Vozrojdenie” (“Renaissance”) – tenth.
