On a social networking site, Minister of Environment Valeriu Munteanu says the situation on the Nistru River will improve slightly over the next few days as the volume of water that will be discharged from the Dubasari reservoir on August 11 will be increased to 210 cubic meters per second, as opposed to 140-150 m3/sec the previous days.
“It was decided to raise the volume of discharged water during the next two days as an anchored ship cannot leave because of the very low level of water. Thus, the level of water at the treatment station in Vadul lui Voda will increase the next few days,” wrote the minister.
The orange code advisory for hot water lasts until August 12 inclusive, while the yellow code warning about hydrological drought – until August 17.
