The rain that fell in the morning of May 23 flooded partially the streets Albisoara and Muncesti in Chisinau. Contacted by IPN, the head of the municipal road maintenance company “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari said the traffic was suspended for a short period of time, but now all the streets are passable and the company’s workers are cleaning the drainage channels.
Eliferii Haruta, head of the Green Areas Managing Association, said they continue to receive calls from the residents of Chisinau. By Thursday morning, there were made requests to provide assistance at 47 addresses, where there fell trees or branches.
The rainstorm downed dozens of trees, which damaged three vehicles when falling. The workers of the Green Areas Managing Association will deal with all the requests for aid during the day.
