Rain damages crops in Rascani and Drochia district

The hail and heavy rain on July 26 damaged crops in 15 villages in northern Moldova. The size of affected fields has not been yet determined, but damage was caused to dozens of hectares of crops. Liliana Puscasu, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the hail caused damage in Rascani and Drochia districts. In Rascani, there were affected the villages Racaria, Recea, Mihaileni, Mihailenii Noi, Sverdiac, Sumna, Vasileuti, Bulhac, Ceparia, Ramazan, and Mihoreni, while in Drochia – Ochiul Alb and Nicoreni villages. The district emergencies commissions are to determine the size of affected areas.
