The employees of the Ocnița railway station, who announced that they will stop work on Monday, March 10, nevertheless went to work.
The chairman of the Federation of Railway Workers' Trade Unions Ion Zaporojan confirmed to IPN that the employees of the Ocnița railway station work as usual. According to Zaporojan, the employees withdrew their demands and decided to work for another week, with the hope that a solution will be found during this period.
In a notice addressed to the director of the Ocnița railway station, they ask that the salaries for October-December 2024 and January-February 2025 should be paid by March 17, or they will stop work.
The salary arrears towards the employees of the state-owned enterprise Moldova’s Railways exceed 190 million lei.
