Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Auckland ATP tournament of New Zealand, IPN reports.
The 28-year-old athlete eliminated British player Klein Brydan, World No. 283. In the quarterfinals, Albot, who is the top seed of the competition, plays agency Japan’s Daniel Taro, World No. 99.
Radu Albot is the only Moldovan tennis player who took part in the main competitions of all the Grand Slam tournaments. The qualifications for Australian Open start next week.
