Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot continues to have a very good performance at the ATP 250 tournament of Montpellier. The 29-year-old plyer in the quarterfinals beat the finalist of the 2006 Australian Open Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, IPN reports.
Albot defeated Baghdatis, World No. 128, in two sets, 6-2, 7-6, after 1 hour and 33 minutes of play. In the 1/8 finals, Baghdatis won against France’s Lucas Pouille, world No. 17 in men’s singles in the ATP rankings.
At the ATP tournament in Montpellier, Radu Albot also beat Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber and Latvia’s Ernests Gulbis. In the semifinals, the Moldovan tennis player meets France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, world No. 210.
