Radu Albot has qualified for the final of the Challenger tournament of Shenzhen, China. Last week he reached the final of the Suzhou tournament, IPN reports.
In the semifinals, Albot beat Russia’s Mihail Iujnyi, world No. 87, by 3-6, 2-6. As a result of this victory, the 27-year-old tennis player has big chances of returning to the top 100 ATP rankings. Now he ranks 103rd.
In the final in Shenzhen, Albot plays Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, world No. 34. The champion of the tournament will get a watch worth US$10,800.
