Radu Albot leaves Indian Wells Masters

Radu Albot was eliminated from the Indian Wells Masters Tournament in the first round. The Moldovan tennis player lost to Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-7, 2-6, IPN reports.

Albot lost the first game of the first set at his own service. The 28-year-old athlete recovered and had a double chance to close the first set. Tsitsipas saved both of the set balls and won the tie-break.

Albot started well the second set, managing the break early, but the Greek athlete aged 19 won four consecutive games and scored the victory by 6-2. Radu Albot, who is World No. 88, won US$ 15,000 in prize money.
