Radu Albot was eliminated from the ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells tournament. The Moldovan tennis player was beaten by the UK’s Kyle Edmund, World No. 23, 3-6, 3-6, IPN reports.

In the 1/8 finals, Radu Albot would have met Switzerland’s Roger Federer, who is considered the greatest tennis player of all time. In the previous rounds, Albot eliminated Marius Copil of Romania and Fabio Fogninin of Italy.

Radu Albot now takes the 53rd spot in the ATP rankings. Following his performance at Indian Wells, the 29-year-old athlete could enter the list of Top 50 players.
