Moldova’s best rated tennis player Radu Albot has been eliminated from the men’s singles first round at the Grand Slam tournament of Wimbledon, transmite IPN.
Albot, #40 ATP, encountered Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff, #33 ATP. Previously Albot clashed with Struff thrice, and was able to beat him once, at the Challenger event in Jonkoping. This time, the Moldovan was defeated in three sets, 4-6, 3-6, 2-6.
In men’s doubles, Radu Albot is paired with Tunisia’s Malek Jaziri. The first double on their path is Rajeev Ram (US) and Joe Salisbury (UK).
