Radio Moldova awards audio dramas

The public station Radio Moldova awarded the audio dramas at the first Radiophone Theater Gala. Radio Moldova director Alexandru Dorogan has told IPN that 365 plays from the station’s achieve about the realities of Moldova were broadcast every evening at Radio Moldova.

“I saw that the people listen to and love the radiophone radio and we thus broadcast by a play every evening. We want to present more plays by national authors and on topical themes. We will also present dramas by foreign authors, but first we wanted to arouse interest in the plays of national authors,” said Alexandru Dorogan.

The prize for the best script was offered to the author of the play “Bread from the lame rabbit” by Larisa Turea. The prize for the best radiophone adaptation was given to Veaceslav Gheorghishenko and Tatiana Fisher for “Maria Cantemir – last love of Petru the Great” by Ion Druta.

Eleonora Achindinov (pseudonym Nona Zvarico) received the prize for the best soundtrack for the Microphone Theater “A trip by primordial sound” by Vaclaw Stawny, while Olga Shvets got the prize for fructuous and long activity at the Radiophone Theater.

The prize for the best female role was given to Ala Menshikov for the role of painter Maia in the play “Amethyst” by Irina Nechit-Popa, while the prize for the best men’s role went to Ion Ungureanu for the role of Pyotr Tolstoi, head of the secret chancellery, in the play “Maria Cantemir – last love of Petru the Great” by Ion Druta.

Petru Hadarca was designated winner in the category “Best artistic direction” of the play “Joyful hubbub” by Sergiu Burca, while the special prize of the jury went to Vitalie Tapes, who produced a series of programs. The prize for the best radio drama was given to the whole crew of the play “Joyful hubbub” by Sergiu Burca, directed by Petru Hadarca.

Alexandru Dorogan said a Radiophone Theater Gala will be also held next year, but emphasis will be put on an interactive method of presenting radio dramas. The archive of the national radio station includes over 450 plays.
