The citizens will be able to assess the quality of public services provided by the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) through the agency of an application. This will enable functionaries to evaluate the services they provide and to adjust these to the real needs of the people, IPN reports.

One of authors of the application Valentin Bragaru explained that this offers the user the possibility of assessing the services provided by a particular local office of the CNAS by choosing between “excellent”, “good” and “bad”. If the person chooses “good” or “bad”, several more questions appear for being answered and the person is also asked to make comments and suggestions. The questions refer to the type of services provided to the person, their quality, behavior of the functionary, etc. The application could be accessed through an interactive monitor that will be placed in local offices. People’s suggestions will be synthetized in reports that will be later examined by the CNAS.

CNAS division head Natalia Smundeac said the application is an instrument for finding out people’s opinions about the services provided by the National House of Social Insurance. The received suggestions will enable to improve the quality of services.

The application will be first piloted in several local offices and will be later available in all the 40 local offices and on the website of the CNAS.

For developing the prototype, the team of IT specialists received a money award of US$ 10,000 from the Government of Slovakia through UNDP Moldova.
