More than 400 social workers from all over Moldova will be trained to professionally communicate with beneficiaries and the general public. The workshops form part of a series of measures initiated by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family with a view to promoting the support for the professional activity of community social workers, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the institution.
The necessity of staging such training courses appeared after it was established that the social workers do not appropriately perceive the Social Assistance Program and the Cold-Month Assistance Program. The Ministry set the objective of ensuring the continuous training of community social workers so that they have a professional style of communication with beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries and a proper approach to social assistance.
Specialists and experts in communication will organize 20 workshops centering on corporate communication, communication with beneficiaries, designing of plans for ensuring interaction between social workers and the people at local level, and creation of connection bridges between community workers and the local and national mass media.
The main goals of these workshops are to improve the behavior of social assistants, to increase transparency and enhance the administration of the Social Assistance Program through cooperation with all the sides interested in improving understanding of social assistance.
