PwC finishes Moldtelecom audit

The international professional services company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has presented to Moldtelecom's Council the results of the 2010 financial audit performed at the national communication operator. The experts involved in the audit unanimously found that the country's largest telephony operator fared well financially, Info-Prim Neo learned from Moldtelecom's press service.
The international audit was performed during April through October 2011 according to a decision adopted last year by Moldtelecom's General Shareholders Assembly as a measure to help Moldtelecom through the transition to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).
This is the first time that Moldtelecom reports financial information in compliance with the IFRSs. This will help the company to develop its own IFRS-compliant annual reports, with the first one due on 31 December 2011.
