The public transport in Chisinau will run according to the ordinary program during the week. The extraordinary commission for public health of the municipality of Chisinau, which was called today, decided that the restricted program adopted earlier will no longer be applied, IPN reports.
Mayor General of Chisinau Ion Ceban, who heads the commission, in a posting in Facebook said the transport will not yet run on Saturdays and Sundays. The wearing of masks in public transport remains mandatory.
According to Ion Ceban, the commission took such a decision after the working group that monitored the situation yesterday established that the flow of people in public transport stations is much larger when the buses and trolleybuses are unavailable for several hours.
The decision to interrupt the public transport in Chisinau for a period of the day was taken by the extraordinary commission for public health of the municipality on the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health’s recommendation.
