The public transport in the municipalities of Chisinau and Bălți will not run during the next five weekends, until the end of June. A decision to this effect was taken by the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health on May 29, IPN reports.
According to Prime Minister Ion Chicu, the public transport in the two municipalities will not run also on June 8, when the public sector employees have free from work on the occasion of Low Sunday or Sunday of the Dead.
Ion Chicu noted that any decision taken by the Commission can be yet amended, depending on the development of the epidemiological situation. He asked the people to show responsibility and obey the measures imposed in connection with the pandemic.
