The employees of the public sector, except for healthcare workers, will not go to work next week, as of March 30, as the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided on March 26. The measure does not apply to the public sector employees, IPN reports.

According to Prime Minister Ion Chicu, it was decided that the period between March 30 and April 03 will be nonworking for all the public sector units, except for health facilities whose employees provide auxiliary services for the public heath institutions and for the rescue and emergency assistance services. The administrative authorities of the national defense, pubic order and security sectors will also make an exception.

The public sector employees will work for these days after the state of emergency is lifted.

Premier Chicu called on the private sector employers to make sure that a minimum of employees are present at enterprises.  This sector next week will work as usual.

The Commission for Exceptional Situations also decided that the public sector employees will have a special work and remuneration program during the state of emergency. The employees will get salaries in full either they work at the office, from home or do not work.

In another development, the official said that from now on, the persons who will be outside home should have identification papers on them so as to confirm their identity if they are asked by the police.

As of March 27, it is banned going in groups larger than three persons, except for groups consisting of relatives of the first and second levels.

Ion Chicu said that as from next week, the pensions will be taken home to pensioners by employees of Moldova’s Post Office. The intuitions responsible for the payment of pensions will involve strictly the necessary staff into the process.
